Nick Koerbin is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most experienced and trusted Association and NFP professionals. With more than three decades of leadership across the sector, Nick brings a deep passion for the power of associations and not-for-profit organisations to influence industries, strengthen communities, and shape a better future.

Throughout his 30+ year career, Nick has held senior roles across a diverse range of organisations—from Board Director positions to CEO roles within both small and nationally significant associations. This breadth of experience has given him unique insight into what drives organisational success, how to navigate complex governance challenges, and the critical importance of purposeful, strategic leadership.

For the past 15 years, Nick has served as the Executive Director of Association Executive Services (AES), where he leads a team of some of Australia’s most accomplished association executives and consultants. Under his guidance, AES has become a trusted partner to associations and NFPs across Australia and New Zealand, working alongside Boards and leadership teams to deliver clarity, stability, and measurable impact.

Nick is a recognised thought leader in association governance, strategy, and organisational transformation. He is frequently called upon to facilitate change, build high-performing Boards, and lead major organisational transitions.
