Darren Taylor GAICD, Co-founder and Head of Strategy, Taylor & Grace


Darren is a visionary brand strategist, keynote speaker and author who has helped hundreds of organisations – from traditional family-run businesses, not-for-profits and social enterprises, to mature multinationals and startups – to develop and grow their brand to compete in a global environment. Some of his clients include national and multinational companies like Hitachi, SAI Global and Alchemy Construct, to ASX listed companies like Tesserent and EMVision to NFPs and associations like Grief Australia, ACRE, Royal College of Pathologists Australasia, Exercise and Sports Science Australia, Australian Funeral Directors Association, Australian Sports Foundation, Thin Green Line, and visionary startups and scale ups such as Bintracker, Outlandish and Carbon Asset Solutions.

Drawing on an educational background spanning engineering, marketing, musical theatre, and performance, Darren combines analytical thinking, creative flair, and compelling storytelling to craft powerful brand strategies that inspire and deliver measurable results. His book, Rebranding Branding, won a silver gong at the New York Design awards in 2017 and is an essential read for business leaders looking to achieve growth and impact from leveraging their brand. 

Darren and his team have extensive experience working with executives and boards to achieve transformation. He is an experienced NFP Board director, having served on the boards of Georges Mora Foundation, Chamber Music Australia and currently, Musica Viva Australia. He is a graduate of the AICD Company Director’s course.

Darren has been consulting to NFP organisations and associations for around 20 years and is passionate about the role that organisations can play to address the wicked social and environmental issues of our time. Darren’s agency, Taylor & Grace, has just achieved its B Corp certification.



Nick Koerbin, Executive Director of AES


Described as one of the most experienced Association and NFP professionals in Australia, Nick Koerbin brings to Associations and Not-for-Profit organisations a wealth of knowledge formed by over 30 years as a CEO or Senior Manager in over eight large and small associations throughout Australia.

He started Association Executive Services (AES) in 2010 as the organisation that would help Associations grow and become sustainable. For the last twelve years, AES has grown to be the only full provider of services for Associations in Australia. These include Association Management and Secretariat Services, Member Contact Service, Consulting and Training.

Nick is called upon constantly to help Association Leaders navigate their organisation towards high levels of business excellence. Nick has authored many books dealing with organisational change and is the primary author of the "Association Executives Toolkit", which is the go-to help book for Association Leaders seeking ideas to manage their association.
