Anne Thornton

Anne began her career as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. Having been a Board member for several years she was elected to the position of Executive Officer for a specialist national nursing organization, a position she held for 11 years.

This position precipitated a new learning curve about running an Association and the myriad of  responsibilities that entails.

Wanting to expand her knowledge-base Anne enrolled in the Chartered Secretaries course and the Williamson Community Leadership program which gave Anne a strong understanding and approach to taking meeting minutes.

Anne’s journey with associations and employment with BSCAA and RWTA and through providing secretarial services through AES has given Anne very broad experience at the variety of agendas and minutes and the challenges of getting it right.
