The average Association Board comprises of volunteers and many new Board members who are unsure of the meeting protocols. 

Despite the commitment by volunteers many Board meetings often become talk fests with little action or progressive outcomes.

Her skills include collating/compiling Board papers, attendance at Board/AGM meetings, high quality minute taking, and electronic file management. Anna believes that proficient Secretariat Board support is an essential and often overlooked skill-set which not only aids in good governance but ensures maximum value is derived from Board meeting discussions.

Nick Koerbin, Executive Director, AES
With over 30 years of management expertise, Executive Director and Founder of AES, Nick Koerbin is one of the most experienced NFP leaders in Australia. He has held positions as the CEO of Materials Australia, the National Parts Code, as well as senior positions in the Institute of Insurance, Australian Quality Council, the Financial Planning Association, the Australian Human Resources Institute, and the Furniture Industry Association of Australia.  He is  a mentor under the AES Board mentoring program and regulary provide advice and mentors Board Presidents
