The Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is at the forefront of mental health education, training and advocacy, that directly shapes the future of psychiatry and mental health care in Australia and New Zealand. RANZCP supports the Australian and New Zealand mental health system by developing and promoting clinical standards in the practice of psychiatry as a foundation for providing excellence and equity in mental healthcare.
RANZCP represents approximately 8,500 members and plays a critical role in education, advocacy and support for Fellows and trainees. RANZCP ensures the health of the profession so that members can provide the best comprehensive, planned and proactive care for their patients.
Working closely with the Board, the CEO will play a key role in leading the organisation into the next stage of its evolution. You will drive an organisation-wide transformation to establish financial security and sustainability, support the transformational change in specialist psychiatric training in Australia & New Zealand, drive influence in the mental health sector in both nations, set the stage for next-generation psychiatry and develop a highly engaged and effective workplace culture through inspiring and developing a collaborative executive leadership team.
You will be a highly regarded and proven executive leader with the ability to influence, advocate and build strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally and are seen as a leader within the healthcare sector. As a strong communicator with an approachable style, you have extensive leadership experience within an organisation with a strong customer focus or membership organisation. You will possess a robust commercial acumen and be involved in delivering strategic planning objectives, centered on RANZCP members, and ultimately setting the College up for future growth. A high level of intellectual and emotional intelligence, resilience and an engaging and empathetic leadership style is essential.
