This is an exciting opportunity for a proven commercial business leader, ideally with a  knowledge of the visual communications industry, and the ability to represent their stakeholder interests.
Our client is an innovative and well established industry association.They represent suppliers of hardware, software, consumables, and supportive services for the print, signage, graphic arts, and visual communications industries.
Due to a retirement in the organisation they are seeking to appoint a General Manager with the ability, knowledge and experience  to expand opportunities and profile of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities Summary:

  • Industry Collaboration: Build Existing and new partnerships and member devices with the  industry to expand the organisation’s influence and offerings.Representation & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary spokesperson, representing the association’s mission and values to clients, industry associations, and the public.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with finance teams to manage budgets, P&L, balance sheets, and ensure financial compliance, monitoring key metrics such as sales, operating profit, and membership growth.
  • Audit Preparation: Organise and prepare financial documentation for audits to ensure smooth processes.
  • Magazine Production Management: Supervise the production and distribution of print and digital magazines, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Project Management: Lead industry-related and educational projects, ensuring effective execution and value to the sector.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee staff recruitment, management, and collaboration with the Trade Show General Manager to create a positive work environment.
  • Board Reporting: Deliver comprehensive performance reports to the Board, highlighting opportunities and challenges.
  • Corporate Governance & Compliance: Keep the Board informed of industry policy changes, maintain accurate membership records, and actively seek new members.


To be successful in this role ideally you will have several years of experience as a sales and marketing leader, have demonstrated advocacy, stakeholder management experience with proven business development and or brand building skills.
